Placement Overview

Corporate Resource Centre (CRC)

Corporate Resource Centre is a nodal centre which acts as resource centre for Interface between IPEM Students and Industry through Short term Live Projects, Industrial Visits, Guest Lectures, Workshops, Corporate Meetings, Seminars and Alumni Interaction etc. The IPEM involves its students in all the activities to develop and groom their Managerial Skills. CRC counsels the students in-house and also with the help of Industry Experts to choose an appropriate career depending on their aptitude and interest.An error detection technique using a polynomial to generate a series of two 8-bit block check characters that represent the entire block of data. These block check characters are incorporated into the transmission frame and then checked at the receiving end.

Placement Process

Stage 1

For the development of students, members from companies are invited to interact with students on campus through Guest Lectures, Live Projects, Comprehensive Subject Viva-voce, Seminars, Workshops, and other Corporate Forums. Industrial visits are arranged both in manufacturing and service sector to give practical exposure to students.

Stage 2

Student Profiles and other relevant details are collected and shared with companies.

Stage 3

The companies conduct Pre-Placements talks to give in-depth information about job profile, role being offered and their expectation from a candidate.

Stage 4

Job details are invited and resumes of interested applicants are shared with the companies.

Stage 5

According to students areas of interest and aspirations companies are called on campus for placement procedure.

Stage 6

Companies conduct their selection process which typically comprises of short listing, group discussions, aptitude test and interviews.

Stage 7

Final results are declared by the companies and jobs are offered to the students.

Summer Industrial Training

IPEM’s Placement Cell provides students with focused and challenging internship opportunities during the long summer vacation. The internship programme gives students a clearer career direction through gaining a taste of their potential career. Various multi-national corporations, government sectors and other organizations offer summer internships to the students. The Summer Internship Programme gives you the chance to explore work experience options in a variety of sectors.Summer training is all about learning new skills, being updated with the world, making use of your theoretical knowledge in practical so you can be ready for your future.Certification of summer training is valuable for any job interview.To check your knowledge gained from training you’ll be given a project at the end of the training which can be a random project or a new one.Summer training improves your old skills, add new skills which helps you to keep updated so main goal is to level up your skills.

Winter Training Live Project

IPEM: Live Projects

Through Live Projects, students are given opportunity to solve business issues under the guidance of managers. For students, these projects are an opportunity to showcase their skills in the related areas in real business scenarios. Live Projects are considered very important assignments at IPEM. Students work upon these projects under close supervision of faculty mentor. Industrial Visit

A two-day Industrial visit of students of Management Department to Baddi (Himanchal Pradesh) and Chandigarh was  organized on April 29th and 30th, 2022. The trip was organiozed, keeping in mind the curriculum requirement, overall development of the students , practical exposure and knowledge of the working structure of the organization.
