Workshop on Lesson Planning on Constructive Approach
Objective
- To familiarize pupil-teachers with the principles and key concepts of the constructive approach to teaching and learning
- To equip pupil-teachers with strategies for designing lesson plans that incorporate constructive methods, fostering deeper understanding and engagement.
- To explore techniques for integrating active learning activities that encourage student participation and collaboration
- To facilitate hands-on activities where pupil-teachers can create and present their own lesson plans using the constructive approach.
Description
Centre for Teacher Education of Institute of Professional Excellence and Management is organizing Workshop on “Lesson Planning on Constructive Approach” for B.Ed. (Second Year) students from 16th-19th Sep. 2024.
Day 1: The subject experts Dr. Nishi Sharma (English), Mr. Pradeep K. Sharma (Hindi), Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma (Science), Mr. Mohit K. Bharti (Commerce), Dr. Neeta Garg (Social Science) and Ms. Viditi Rastogi (Mathematics) explained different Models and Approaches of Constructivism to their pedagogy subject pupil-teachers and demonstrated a Sample Lesson Plan.
Day 2: On the second day, pupil-teachers from the Pedagogy of English, Pedagogy of Physical Sciences, Pedagogy of Social Sciences, and Pedagogy of Mathematics began developing lesson plans based on the Constructive Approach. They also had the opportunity to resolve their questions with subject experts.
Day 3: On the third day of workshop, pupil-teachers from the various pedagogy subjects finalized their lesson plans based on the Constructive Approach under the guidance of subject experts.
Day 4: On the fourth day of the Lesson Planning on Constructive Approach workshop, pupil-teachers from diverse pedagogy subjects showcased their lesson plans and explained the relevance of the activities they had chosen.
