Voter Awareness Programme 2024
Objective
- To encourage voters to participate in democracy by enrolling themselves in the electoral rolls.
- To enlighten and empower individuals regarding the significance of voting and their pivotal role in shaping our nation.
Description
The Electoral Literacy Club of IPEM Ghaziabad, in association with the Office of the Chief Development Officer of Ghaziabad, organized the Voter Awareness Programme-2024. The programme began with Dr. Geeti Sharma, Director of IPEM, presenting a sapling and memento to Shri Ved Prakash Ji, District Social Welfare Officer, and Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Head Clerk of the District Social Welfare Office. Dr. Nishi Sharma, Principal of CTE, presented a sapling and memento to Ms. Poonam Sharma, SVEEP Coordinator, and Ms. Ruchi Tyagi, DC MIS.
Dr. Geeti Sharma then shared her views on voter awareness. B.Ed. first-year students performed a nukkadnatak (street play) to emphasize the importance of voting. Following this, Ms. Poonam Sharma and Ms. Ruchi Tyagi organized a quiz competition to further promote voter awareness.
Approximately 160 students from various courses, including BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Ed., D.El.Ed., MBA, and MCA, attended the event. All departmental HODs and faculty members were also present.
The programme concluded with Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma delivering a vote of thanks to all the participants and organizers.
