Visionary Of Change- Empowering Youth for Social Change

Objective

To give young students the abilities, information, and frame of mind need to become powerful change agents in their communities and beyond. This could entail developing capacity, encouraging collaboration, fostering visionary thinking, and empowering youth. Through this kind of youth empowerment, the activity aims to develop a generation of visionary leaders capable of taking on today’s complicated social issues and creating a more egalitarian, sustainable, and inclusive future.

Description

Samvad “The Communication Club” organized the activity ” Visionary Of Change- Empowering Youth for Social Change” under the aegis of IIC, on 18^th April 2024 in Seminar Hall from 2 pm onwards. The convener of the activity was Mr. Tejinder Singh, Co-convener was Ms. Ritu Saxena. A total of 10 groups(44 students) from all departments participated with full enthusiasm and zeal. The judges were Dr. Mona Sahay and Dr. Poornima Chaudhary. In this activity, students selected a social issue that resonates with them, conducted research, and created a visual representation of the issue through their chosen medium i.e. Short Video/Documentary/film. They were required to develop a presentation that showcased their work, incorporating images and video footage to highlight the issue’s significance. Additionally, students proposed innovative and creative solutions to address the problem. Students were judged on the basis of the issue selected, creative medium, visual presentation, and innovative solutions. Winners – 1st position secured by Vaibhav Sharma, Abhishek Tyagi, Vinay Kumar and Harshita (BCOM H 2nd Year), 2nd position secured by Anvi Tyagi, Khushi, Om Raj Maurya and Vikky (BALLB 1st year), 3rd Position secured by Kanchan Mishra, Khushi, Abitha, Bhaskar and Chirag Sharma (BCA 1st Year,).
