Objective

• To contribute to the restoration and preservation of local ecosystems by planting native tree species that enhance biodiversity.
• To foster a sense of environmental responsibility and community involvement by organizing planting events that educate participants about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and mitigating climate change.

Description

On July 20, 2024, and July 22, 2024, the Institute of Professional Excellence & Management in Ghaziabad organized a tree plantation activity under NSS.

On July 20, trees were planted near students’ homes, while on July 22, trees were planted within the college campus itself. The inauguration of the program took place with the planting of a sapling by the college Principal, Dr. Nishi Sharma, and alumni from the Education Department, Miss MeghaKatara.

During the event, students actively participated by planting various types of saplings including evergreen, snake plant, guava, neem, and peepal. They also pledged to diligently care for the trees by ensuring regular watering.
