Title

Innovative Teaching Models Competition

Objective

An Innovative Teaching Models Competition serves various purposes like; It fosters creativity and innovation among pupil-teachers by encouraging them to develop novel teaching approaches and instructional strategies. The competition provides a platform for pupil-teachers to share their best practices and innovative ideas with colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the educational community. Participating in the competition motivates pupil-teachers to continuously improve their teaching methods and explore new approaches to instruction, leading to ongoing professional development.

Description

Centre for Teacher Education successfully organized “Innovative Teaching Models Competition” under the aegis of IIC on 13th April, 2024 (Saturday). B.Ed. (First Year) (2023-25) students participated in the competition. B.Ed. Alumni, Mr. Abid Saifi (PGT Commerce) from SST Inter College and Ms. Thanuja (TGT Mathematics) from Ryan Public School were the judges of the event. Total 70 Innovative Teaching Models of different pedagogy subjects (6 of Pedagogy of Physical Sciences, 5 of Pedagogy of Biological Sciences, 10 of Pedagogy of Mathematics, 22 of Pedagogy of Social Sciences, 12 of Pedagogy of English, 6 of Pedagogy of Hindi and 9 of Pedagogy of Commerce) were presented. From each pedagogy subject first, second and third winners were selected by the Judges. The Alumni judges shared their experiences with B.Ed. Students and appreciated their efforts. The students participated in the competition with full of enthusiasm. The competition recognized and celebrated the achievements of pupil-teachers who demonstrated outstanding innovation and creativity in their teaching practice, providing them with well-deserved recognition and validation by the certificate. This competition also encouraged pupil-teachers to strive for excellence in teaching by designing effective and engaging instructional models that enhance student learning outcomes.
