• To help the students understand what modernization means and why it is important for societies.

Description:

The Centre for Teacher Education (CTE), IPEM Ghaziabad, under the aegis of IQAC and in collaboration with ALBATROSS has organized an event of Guest Lecture based on the topic- “Role of Education in Modernization” on 29th of September 2023.

Dr. Rekha Sharma (Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, MMH College, GZB) was the Guest Lecturer for the event. In her lecture, Dr. Rekha Sharma explained what modernization means, why it is important for societies, and how modernization encompasses economic, social, cultural, and technological changes. The question-answer session was very interactive and the speaker addressed the doubts of students.

A total number of 82 students were present along with the Principal, Dr. Nishi Sharma, and faculty members at the event and the coordinator of this event was Ms. Parul Tyagi, Assistant Professor, CTE. Dr. Nishi Sharma felicitated Dr. Rekha Sharma and a vote of thanks was given by Ms. Parul Tyagi.
