Objective

• To foster creativity and innovation through art and craft activities.
• To enhance students’ understanding of aesthetic values in education.
• To develop hands-on skills in painting, fabric work, and mural art.
• To provide students with exposure to different artistic techniques and materials.
• To encourage self-expression and mindfulness through artistic endeavors.

Description

The five-day Art and Craft Workshop was organized for B.Ed. 1st-year and D.El.Ed. 1st Semester students in collaboration with Pidilite Industries. The Resourse person was Ms.Swati Mathur. The workshop aimed at enhancing students’ creativity and artistic skills through hands-on learning experiences. Various traditional and contemporary art forms were explored, allowing students to develop an appreciation for aesthetic expression and craftsmanship.Students engaged in making unique art pieces using acrylic colors, Mouldit, fabric glue, and various artistic tools. The major crafts included:

• Hand-painted Tote Bags
• Fabric Ludo with Madhubani Art
• Wall Décor including Lippon and Circle Mural Art

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who displayed creativity and engagement throughout the sessions. They actively collaborated, exchanged ideas, and showcased their completed art pieces.

The outcomes of the workshop included improved artistic and craft-making skills, hands-on experience with various artistic techniques, and a deeper appreciation for art in education.

The Art and Craft Workshop was a resounding success, leaving students with newfound artistic skills and creative inspiration. The collaborative effort with Pidilite Industries further enriched the learning experience, making it a memorable and productive endeavor for all participants. Certificates were distributed among participants from Pidilite Industries.
