Faculty development program on research methodology and data analysis using nvivo & smart pls 4.0
The objective of the Faculty Development Program was to enhance participants’ research capabilities by providing comprehensive training in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, offering hands-on experience with NVIVO and SMART PLS software, raising awareness about research integrity issues such as predatory journals and disinformation, and ensuring participants can effectively apply advanced research tools and techniques to their academic work, thereby improving the quality and impact of their research.
The One Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Research Methodology and Data Analysis Using NVIVO and Smart PLS 4.0, attended by approximately 170 participants from various prestigious universities, was a resounding success. More than 100 participants have registered from various reputed universities like *AMU, Jamia Milia, Thapar University, GGSIPU, KR Mangalam, Kalinga University, Chandigarh University, and many more. Led by experts Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Dr. Sumit Narula, and Dr. Pooja Goel, the program covered a wide range of topics. These included the fundamentals of qualitative and quantitative research, advanced NVIVO techniques like text mining and sentiment analysis, and the essentials of SMART PLS for quantitative data analysis. Participants also learned to identify predatory journals and received hands-on experience with Mendeley software. The sessions were highly interactive and practical, culminating in a valedictory session with positive feedback, certificate distribution, and recognition of the program’s success in enhancing research skills and knowledge.
