Exploring Financial Frontiers: B.Com (H) Student’s Visit to the India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan with NSE

Objective

• Enhance Financial Literacy: The main goal was to improve students’ understanding of financial management, investments, and trading through an interactive session with NSE (National Stock Exchange).
• Exposure to Real-World Trade Practices: To provide students with a practical understanding of the trade fair environment, where they could explore various trade-related activities and stalls.
• Engagement through Fun Learning Activities: Incorporate engaging activities such as psychometric tests and quizzes to make learning enjoyable and effective.
• Promote Student Interaction and Networking: Encourage social interaction and teamwork among students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Description

The India International Trade Fair Visit was organized by the Management Department, IPEM Ghaziabad for B.Com (Hons) students to combine practical learning with interactive financial education. The event included 34 students who had the opportunity to explore the various exhibits and stalls at the trade fair, gaining real-world insights into trading and business operations.

An insightful Financial Literacy session was conducted by NSE, where students participated in a psychometric test on financial management skills. The session also featured an interactive quiz, making the learning experience both educational and fun.

To make the event memorable, certificates of participation, goodie bags, and refreshments were provided to students. The event was coordinated by Dr. Preeti Varshney and Mr. Rajeev Shah, and it was met with great enthusiasm and success.
