Awareness Program on Mental/Brain Health
The Student Welfare Committee (SWC) of IPEM Ghaziabad, in collaboration with the Ghaziabad Management Association (GMA), successfully organized an Awareness Program on Mental/Brain Health on April 4, 2025. The primary aim of the program was to sensitize students and faculty about the importance of maintaining mental wellness and to equip them with effective strategies to address mental health challenges. The session commenced with the arrival and welcome of the Guest of Honour, Dr. Prof. (Brig.) Y.S. Sirohi, followed by a lamp lighting ceremony symbolizing the enlightenment of knowledge and awareness. As a mark of respect and appreciation, Dr. Sirohi was felicitated with a memento and sapling for his valuable contributions to the field of mental health and his commitment to sharing his insights with the IPEM community. This was followed by the opening remarks from Dr. Geeti Sharma, Director of IPEM, who emphasized the institute’s dedication to the well-being of its students and the role of mental wellness in academic and personal success. Mr. Rahul Agarwal, Executive Director of GMA, then addressed the gathering, highlighting the collaborative initiatives between GMA and IPEM in promoting holistic development and awareness among students. Dr. Sirohi delivered a powerful and insightful session on managing stress, emotional resilience, lifestyle impacts on mental health, and cultivating a positive mental framework. The talk was followed by an engaging Q&A session where students and faculty members actively participated. The program concluded with a group photograph and a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Master of Ceremony, Ms. Vidhushi Verma, who acknowledged the efforts of all contributors in making the event a meaningful success.
