Blood Donation Camp 2024
Objective
- To ensure a steady supply of blood for emergency situations in hospitals.
- To create awareness among people about the importance of donating blood.
- To encourage young people and students to donate blood and make it a regular habit.
Description
On 5th December 2024, the Sewa Cell of IPEM Ghaziabad organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Rotary Vardan Blood Centre Ghaziabad. The program was inaugurated by Anupam Goel, Secretary of IPEM, Dr. Geeti Sharma, Director of the Institute, and Dr. Shashank Chaudhary, Dean Academics. During the inauguration, Mr. Goel emphasized the unique opportunity that blood donation provides to save lives. Both the Director and the Dean set an example by donating blood themselves.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation, with 142 donors, including faculty, staff members, and students, stepping forward to donate blood. At the end of the camp, 50 units of blood were successfully collected. All blood donors were provided with blood donation certificates as a token of appreciation for their contribution.
