Alumni Guest Lecture on AI in the Classroom
The objectives of hosting an Alumni Guest Lecture on AI in the Classroom are to facilitate networking opportunities between pupil-teachers and alumni, to strengthen the bond between alumni, pupil-teachers & faculty, to gather feedback from alumni on their educational experiences, to motivate pupil-teachers by showcasing successful alumni who have integrated AI into their careers or research and to encourage innovation in teaching methods through AI, demonstrating its potential to enhance learning outcomes.
Centre for Teacher Education successfully organized “Alumni Guest Lecture on AI in the Classroom” on 22nd July, 2024.Alumni Guest Speaker was Megha Katara (B.Ed. Alumni of Batch 2020-22 & Teacher & Curriculum Leader, The Millennium School Greater Noida). Ms. Megha shared her experiences of her study of B.Ed. course in IPEM and teaching experiences of The Millennium School. She talked about the use AI in the Classroom, especially in planning of teaching like preparing lesson plans, assignments, worksheets etc. Ms. Megha provided some hands on experiences of AI through Mobile using Chatgpt, Gamma and feature of Meta AI on Whatsapp. The pupil-teachers enjoyed the session and expression her gratitude to the Alumni, Ms. Megha Katara. The session is ended with the signing of papers of Alumni Mentoring by Ms. Megha.
