The Electoral Literacy Club at IPEM stands as a beacon of democratic awareness and responsible citizenship, where students from diverse academic backgrounds come together to explore the values and principles of the world’s largest democracy. Through a series of interactive sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and engaging campaigns, the club cultivates a deep understanding of the electoral process and the power of the vote.
With a mission to instill informed decision-making and civic responsibility, the club acts as a dynamic forum that empowers students to become active participants in the democratic framework. It ignites a spirit of inquiry and awareness, encouraging members to critically engage with socio-political issues and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
Electoral Literacy Club Objective
- Foster understanding of the electoral process, voting rights, and responsibilities among students through engaging activities and educational initiatives.
- Develop the habit of informed and ethical voting by equipping students with knowledge about the democratic system, political structures, and the significance of every vote.
- Cultivate a sense of civic duty and participation in the democratic process by encouraging active engagement in discussions and awareness campaigns.
- Prepare students, especially first-time voters, to participate confidently and responsibly in elections by organizing mock polls, debates, and workshops.
